Dispatcher ā Household Goods (HHG) Broker
As a Dispatcher, you are the central point of control between our carrier network, operations team, and customers. Since we operate as a broker (no company-owned trucks), your role is to coordinate, manage, and optimize third-party carriers to ensure every move is executed smoothly, compliantly, and profitably.
You will oversee daily logistics, ensure all shipments are covered, resolve issues in real-time, and drive efficiency across our carrier network.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate and dispatch third-party carriers for all booked shipments
* Maintain constant communication with carriers to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries
* Secure available carriers for open jobs and ensure full coverage daily
* Update ETAs and shipment notes in company systems (Granot or equivalent CRM)
* Act as the main point of contact between carriers, operations, and customer service
* Proactively resolve issues such as delays, capacity shortages, or service failures
* Monitor carrier performance and ensure compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations
* Coordinate labor, shuttle services, or additional resources as needed
* Work closely with Operations to ensure all shipments are assigned and executed properly
* Optimize routes, scheduling, and carrier usage to maximize efficiency and profitability
* Provide real-time updates to Customer Service regarding shipment status and driver schedules
* Identify underperforming carriers and recommend onboarding or removal based on performance
* Maintain accountability for carrier execution and overall service quality
What You Bring
* Strong communication and phone skills
* Experience in HHG moving, logistics, or transportation brokerage
* Familiarity with Granot CRM or similar dispatch/logistics systems
* Ability to think fast and solve problems under pressure
* Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
* Understanding of carrier operations and DOT/FMCSA compliance
