Position Summary
Deluxe Waterproofing & Caulking, Inc. is seeking a skilled Caulker to apply joint sealants and caulking systems in a safe, professional, and high-quality manner. This role supports field operations, foremen, and superintendents to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to Deluxe's high standards.
Responsibilities
*Perform caulking and joint sealant applications (polyurethane and silicone) using sausage guns, producing clean, professional, watertight finishes.
*Properly prep joints — cleaning, backer rod installation, masking, and tooling — to manufacturer specifications.
*Assist with waterproofing systems as needed, including sheet-applied, fluid-applied, and cementitious coatings.
*Assist with material prep, mixing, cleanup, and maintaining organized work areas.
*Follow all safety protocols, including OSHA, fall protection, and company-specific procedures.
*Communicate daily with foremen and office staff through DeluxeField for reporting, timekeeping, training, and photo documentation.
*Safely and efficiently operate hand tools and power tools.
*Work with integrity and uphold Deluxe's reputation for quality workmanship and professionalism on every project.
Requirements
*Minimum 1 year of experience caulking in a commercial construction setting.
*Proficiency in joint prep, backer rod, and tooling clean sealant lines.
*Strong work ethic and ability to perform physically demanding tasks safely.
*Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
*A smartphone (required for timekeeping and coordination in our field app).
*Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, stand for long periods, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
*Ability to work at heights using ladders, scaffolds, and lifts as required.
*Must be able to pass a drug screening.
*Team-oriented with strong communication skills and attention to detail.
