The Miscellaneous Metal Ironworker is responsible for the installation, and repair of non-structural metal components on commercial and industrial projects. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to safely work with various metal materials and tools while following project specifications and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Install, and erect miscellaneous metals
Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications
Measure, cut, weld, grind, and finish metal components accurately
Perform field welding and bolting as required
Layout work according to drawings and jobsite conditions
Operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and lifts safely
Work closely with supervisors, foremen, and other trades to meet schedules
Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance
Follow all OSHA and company safety policies at all times
Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area
Qualifications & Experience
Proven experience as a Miscellaneous Metal Ironworker
Proficiency in MIG and/or stick welding (certifications a plus)
Ability to read and understand blueprints and shop drawings
Strong knowledge of metal fabrication and installation practices
Familiarity with jobsite safety requirements
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
