This slice of a Rosewood tree is over 60 years old and certaily fully cured. the slice is over 1/2 inch thick and about 9 feet long. This is a true Brazilian Rosewood, historically made ito professional high performance guitars and mandolins, but this is not for that purpose.
The slice is suitable for either a wall display for a stately home or museum depicting the intricate grain and presence of the Rosewood tree, not any longer imported into the US for well over 30 years. The tree slice is about 18 inches wide at the base and about 8 inches wide at the top. Originally conceived as a backdrop for a contemporary clock face or similar use as well as a museum representative piece of an exotic wooden material slice of a species no longer imported, time never got to manage that use and is now available for someone else to contemplate its future.
The Base of the tree slice has a crack that is easily repaired by a skilled craftperson but has been left undone as it is part of its afterlife history and a new owner to decide its potential.
leaving it us to its new owner to decide its development.
Please note the dimensions are realistically approximate and not exact.
