RARE OPPORTUNITY – THE LIFETIME MUSIC LIBRARIES OF TWO CLASSICAL CELLISTS !
Contained in a five-by-10 air-conditioned storage unit, the lifetime work of two outstanding cellists is being made available.
The first cellist was the principal cellist of Leopold Stokowski’s orchestra in the 1930s. She is heard in the soundtrack of the original Disney film “Fantasia.” She had a long and prosperous career including much work in South Florida before she passed away here. Her music collection is irreplaceable and includes manuscripts from the 1800s and early 1900s. This is her entire collection of sheet music and books.
The other cellist had a popular string quartet in South Florida in the 1970s through the 2000s. Her music collection is largely in support of her playing in that and other groups. You will find “gig books” set up in many different combinations, one book for each musician in a large number of instrumental combinations and musical styles.
The entire collection consumes well over half of the storage unit and consists of an estimated 30 to 50 boxes packed with sheet music and books, arranged three deep and two high on each shelf of a large thick-gauge shelf unit.
