Position Overview: This role is in a luxurious work environment, serving residents, and their guests. The Cafe Counter F&B Server performs basic food prep (short order cook) and plating, takes orders in a friendly, professional manner. He/she provides counter service, prepares beverages, clears tables, cleans kitchen area, washes dishes, manages payments, and other tasks. Key duties include menu knowledge, cleaning service areas, handling POS systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards, cleanliness, hygiene, and safe food handling, while delivering an exceptional customer experience. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the culinary field! This is a part-time position working Fridays, Sat, and Sun, and special events. Pay rate: $21/hour.
Responsibilities:
Customer-Centric: Greet and welcome guests, and present menus
Food Prep: Take and serve food and drink (including alcoholic) orders; make suggestions based on client preferences
Area Maintenance: Arrange table settings and keep tables clean and tidy at all times
Service-Focused: Provide service with a positive attitude and a smile; strong communication and interpersonal skills
Physical Stamina: Standing, walking, bending, and stooping for extended periods; ability to stand/walk for long periods, and lift/carry items up to 50 lbs.
Technical Aptitude: Experience with POS systems, excellent math skills, and PC proficiency
Multitasking: Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
Qualifications:
Education/Training: Prior hospitality, cook, server experience is preferred
Requirements:
HS Diploma (or equivalent) is required
Must be at least 18 years old to serve alcohol
Updated RESUME is REQUIRED
Basic proficiency with Microsoft MS programs: Word, Outlook
Must have (or obtain within 60 days) Smart Serve or Food Handler Certificate
Must have strong time management skills and be able to work well in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
