We are a dance studio that has been in business for 15 years. We teach ballet, tap, jazz, acro, modern, musical theatre, contemporary, hip hop, cheerleading and gymnastics to ages 18 months and up. We are looking to add karate to our list of classes we offer and would like to have it Wednesdays at 6pm and one other time which is flexible.
This Specific Job:
We are looking to immediately fill a position for a teacher who can teach Karate on Wednesdays at 6pm and one other time. You MUST love kids, be outgoing, be naturally good with kids and able to take charge of a class. You MUST also be RELIABLE and on time - we need you there for every class.
About the Company:
We have been in business for 15 years and have over 250 students per week. We are unique in that we teach in a kind way, building our students up, we use clean music, no suggestive costumes and encourage teamwork as opposed to making our students compete against each other.
Job Purpose:
To teach beginner and intermediate karate classes to children.
Skills/Qualifications:
MOST IMPORTANT: MUST BE GREAT WITH CHILDREN - have patience, tons of energy and be VERY excited about doing karate with them; at least 2 years of karate training to include physical abilities to stand, sit on the floor, jump, twist and stretch. We are willing to hire someone who can teach some, but not all of the classes listed above. Training is provided.
