An exciting scene indeed! Carved around a circular wooden container (5 1/2" high on a 2 1/2" base) we see a lion attacking an elephant, as well as other animals. The real surprise is that the container's top screws off and we have a tiny elephant atop of a pole set on a base. A unique treasure indeed - probably hand carved in India!
