We have here a highly stylized cat (8" tall' - base is 3") which my 'gut feeling' senses is from Persia and of great age (perhaps the 1500's), Indeed, I am no expert but it 'sings to me' its authenticity and origin! Before bidding, check the photos and decide that for yourself. Also, there are a few condition issues, the right ear of the cat is chipped but the line along the cat's left arm on photo 4 is NOT a repair or break (see other photos of the front to ascertain this). Someone has written "Iran" in the cat's interior (see photo seven) which I'm sure is a much latter addition. I've tried to photograph our cat in many different light conditions never seeming to capture its charm. Check photos for other condition concerns.
