Position Summary
The Auto Body Painter is responsible for preparing, refinishing, and painting vehicles to restore them to pre-accident condition. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for detail, takes pride in their craftsmanship, and works efficiently in a team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting (sanding, masking, priming)
Mix and match paint colors to manufacturer specifications
Apply paint, clear coats, and finishes using spray equipment
Inspect completed work for quality and accuracy
Maintain a clean and safe work area
Follow company safety procedures and environmental regulations
Collaborate with estimators and body technicians to ensure timely repairs
Qualifications
5+ years of experience as an Auto Body Painter (preferred)
Knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and equipment
Experience with waterborne and solvent-based paint systems
Strong color-matching skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Valid driver’s license
