Cosmetologist

POSITION SUMMARY

Provide hair styling, cutting, and possibly color services to guests. Also, may provide nail services, waxing, and skincare services to guests. Assess guest needs, inquire about contraindicions, and examine skin, hair, or nails to evalue condition, appearance, and approprieness of scheduled service. Determine and advise guests on proper skin, hair, or nail care and recommend home care regimens. Promote and sell spa/salon services and retail products. Escort guests to and from trement rooms. Set up workstion and/or trement room with necessary products, equipment, and supplies to ensure guest comfort and safety. Clean, maintain, and sterilize tools. Monitor and stick to time schedule throughout the day. Handle inapproprie guest behavior by stopping service and informing supervisor/manager. Maintain current licensure in service area.

Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certificions. Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance is clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary informion; protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipe and address guests’ service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciion. Speak with others using clear and professional language. Develop and maintain positive working relionships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriely to the concerns of other employees. Comply with quality assurance expections and standards. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Educion: Technical, Trade, or Vocional School Degree.

Reled Work Experience: At least 1 year of reled work experience.

Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

License or Certificion: Valid Ste Cosmetology License
