Our professional security company is seeking an experienced, motivated, and highly professional Post Captain to oversee security operations at a residential community. This leadership role is responsible for supervising officers, maintaining exceptional client relations, ensuring compliance with post orders, and leading by example while maintaining a safe and secure environment.

The Post Captain serves as the primary on-site leader and liaison between the client and company management, ensuring that all security operations are performed professionally and efficiently.
Position Overview
As a Post Captain, you will oversee the daily operation of the security team, maintain staffing and performance standards, ensure compliance with company policies and client expectations, and provide direct leadership to Security Officers assigned to the property.
This is a hands-on leadership position. The Post Captain is expected to actively patrol the property, assist officers when needed, respond to incidents, and maintain a visible professional presence throughout the community.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Supervision
Supervise, mentor, and lead all assigned Security Officers.
Ensure officers consistently comply with company policies, post orders, and client directives.
Conduct shift briefings and communicate operational updates.
Monitor officer performance and provide coaching, training, and corrective guidance when necessary.
Ensure proper staffing coverage and promptly report scheduling concerns.
Maintain high standards of professionalism, appearance, and customer service.
Client Relations
Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for property management and residents.
Foster positive working relationships with the client while maintaining professional boundaries.
Communicate security concerns, operational issues, and recommendations to management.
Assist with implementing client requests and operational improvements.
Security Operations
Conduct regular patrols of the property and inspect officer activity.
Ensure access control procedures are consistently followed.
Respond to emergencies, disturbances, alarms, and incidents.
Investigate security concerns and coordinate appropriate responses.
Ensure all incidents are thoroughly documented.
Administrative Responsibilities
Review and approve Daily Activity Reports and Incident Reports for accuracy and completeness.
Maintain post logs and required documentation.
Track equipment, keys, access credentials, and company property.
Assist with training new officers assigned to the property.
Ensure all required reports are submitted accurately and on time.
Qualifications
Valid Florida Class D Security License (required)
Valid Florida Driver License with a clean driving record
Minimum 2 years of security experience preferred
Previous supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong report writing and documentation abilities
Ability to lead by example and resolve conflicts professionally
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Reliable transportation and excellent attendance
Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call when operational needs require
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
