STEINWAY MODEL D STYLE IV CONCERT GRAND PIANO.
Flagship model - Steinway's biggest piano - almost 9 feet long.
As can be seen on a pedestal, room-center in Disney Worlds, Grand Floridian Hotels lobby and every major concert hall.
As pictured, tuned and in great condition, sounds great, re-strung bass section (Mapes), updated with new Renner 'Premium Blue' hammers and Steinway whippens in 2017. Original Steinway 'soundboard' retains an excellent 'crown'.
Pictured bench is NOT INCLUDED. Disclosure: the original ivory keys have been replaced w faux material.
Price reduced (again) to $19,900 - that's 9% of its replacement cost $217,300. A curious note, this piano was originally finished in today nearly unobtainable Brazilian Rosewood, a previous owner 'ebonized' it - painted it black - it's replacement value would be over $300,000 if it's returned to the original finish. Luthiers are calling me about it just for the wood!
* About the price: I'm getting a lot of 'what's wrong with it?' questions - there is nothing wrong with this instrument, it's a beauty! The 'ridiculous' price is what it's worth to me as a tax wright-off with a $69K appraisal in hand. I already have it's replacement, a smaller Steinway, in the same room and want the big one gone.
Like the song says: 'SIMPLY THE BEST' - for those who know!
