The Electromechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing electromechanical components and systems used in automated packaging equipment. This role supports the build of high-quality machinery by following engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and assembly standards while meeting production and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Assembly & Wiring
• Assemble mechanical and electromechanical components for company equipments
• Perform electrical panel and machine wiring including sensors, motors, drives, PLC I/O, HMIs, and safety devices
• Route and terminate cables using proper wire management, labeling, and color codes
• Install pneumatic components such as cylinders, valves, tubing, and fittings
Documentation & Interpretation
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and work instructions
• Follow bills of materials (BOMs) and assembly documentation accurately
Testing & Troubleshooting
• Perform basic functional tests to verify correct operation of assemblies
• Identify and correct wiring, mechanical, or assembly issues
• Support final machine testing and quality inspections
Quality & Safety
• Follow company quality standards and safety procedures.
• Maintain clean, organized workstations following 5S principles
• Accurately document work completed and report non conformances
Team Collaboration
• Work closely with engineers, quality, and production team members
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in assembly efficiency and product quality
Required Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED (technical or vocational training preferred)
• Experience in electromechanical, electrical, or mechanical assembly (manufacturing environment preferred)
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
• Basic understanding of electrical systems (AC/DC), motors, sensors, and controls
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standardized processes
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience assembling industrial automation or packaging machinery
• Knowledge of PLC controlled systems (Allen Bradley, Omron, or similar)
• Soldering and crimping experience
• Familiarity with pneumatic systems
• Lean manufacturing or 5S experience
Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand, walk, and work on machinery for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 40–50 lbs as required
• Manual dexterity for repetitive assembly tasks
• Manufacturing floor environment with occasional noise
Work Schedule
• Full time
• Overtime may be required based on production demands
