You know that feeling when you've been studying Spanish for a while — maybe with an app, maybe a class, maybe just picking things up here and there — and you understand more than you can say? You can follow along, but when it's your turn to talk, the words don't come out the way you want them to?
That's completely normal. And the good news is, it's a lot easier to fix than you think.
My name is Ainhoa. I'm a native Spanish speaker from Spain, currently based between Alicante and London. I have a degree in language education from the University of Granada, specialized training in teaching language to non-native speakers, and 11 years of experience helping people bridge the gap between understanding Spanish and actually speaking it with confidence.
Here's what makes my approach different:
I don't hand you a textbook and walk you through exercises. I build every lesson around you — your level, your goals, and the situations you'll actually use Spanish in. From day one, we focus on real conversation. Grammar and vocabulary are woven in naturally, so learning feels less like studying and more like a really good chat.
I teach all levels — from people just getting started to advanced speakers polishing their fluency. I cover conversation, grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension, and I adjust everything to match your pace. There's no rush and no pressure — just steady progress at a speed that feels right for you.
I also offer specialized Spanish for professionals. If you need legal Spanish, medical Spanish, or business Spanish, I've built targeted curricula for each. These aren't generic lessons with industry vocabulary lists tacked on — they're built around the real conversations and documents you'll encounter in your field.
The people I work with come from every background imaginable.
Some are heritage speakers — they grew up hearing Spanish at home and want to strengthen and formalize what they already know. Some are getting ready to move abroad and want to feel comfortable from day one. Others want to connect with their in-laws, their partner, or their kids in Spanish.
I work with professionals doing business across Latin America and Spain who need to negotiate, present, and lead in Spanish. I work with people who bought a home in a Spanish-speaking country and want to feel at home in their community. I've helped people preparing for Spanish-language teaching exams, and I've helped employees and supervisors who wanted to communicate more clearly with their teams.
Over 11 years, my clients have included lawyers, doctors, nurses, entrepreneurs, diplomats, police officers, actors, writers, TV producers, singers, financial advisors, contractors, educators, psychologists, PhD students, Peace Corps volunteers, fashion designers, interior designers, politicians, librarians, office staff, and more. Whatever your reason for learning Spanish, there's a good chance I've helped someone in a similar situation.
How lessons work:
Everything is online — we meet via Teams or Google Meet, so you can learn from anywhere. Sessions are available in 30, 45, or 60-minute formats, and I schedule around your availability. I work across time zones, so whether you're on the East Coast, West Coast, or somewhere in between, we can find a time that works.
