Handyman / Estate Maintenance Position – Coral Gables
We are looking for an experienced handyman for a private property in Coral Gables.
The ideal candidate must be reliable, detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a private home environment. Candidate must be able to communicate and understand basic English in order to follow instructions, complete assigned tasks, and communicate with the House Manager / Estate Manager.
Requirements:
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Must be able to pass a background check.
Must have previous handyman / maintenance experience.
Must be comfortable working around dogs and assisting with their basic care when needed.
Must be reliable, punctual, respectful, and professional.
Schedule:
Position will start at approximately 3 days per week. During season, schedule may increase to up to 6 days per week.
Responsibilities include:
Daily walkthroughs of the property to identify maintenance needs.
General handyman repairs and preventive maintenance.
Keeping garage, storage areas, workshop, and outdoor spaces clean and organized.
Maintaining pool area clean, organized, and free of debris.
Washing and maintaining family vehicles as scheduled.
Assisting with furniture moving, deliveries, and event setup/breakdown.
Replacing light bulbs, batteries, air filters, and completing minor repairs.
Monitoring and reporting maintenance issues or safety concerns.
Coordinating and assisting outside vendors when required.
Maintaining tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies.
Power washing and maintaining exterior areas as needed.
Assisting housekeeping team with heavy-duty tasks.
Helping care for the family dogs, including feeding, fresh water, cleaning their areas, and transporting them to appointments when needed.
Additional duties assigned by the House Manager or Estate Manager.
