Established 20 Year Old Facility Services has an opening for an AREA MANAGER. Our company offers Commercial Janitorial and Facility Maintenance Services throughout Florida. This position is on our company's corporate management team. Ideal candidate will bring previous supervision or management experience and be able to assume management and supervisory duties in dynamic, a fast-paced, progressive company.
Areas of Responsibility Include:
• Leading and managing cleaning teams across various sites, ensuring adherence to company standards and protocols.
• Managing and supervising daily operations, including hiring, scheduling, training, and performance of employees.
• Conducting inspections of client facilities to ensure cleanliness and compliance with safety regulations.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring availability while minimizing waste.
• Address clients promptly and professionally to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Work with crews, OJT, ensure service standards are maintained.
• Cover open spots with staff, floaters or self when necessary, avoiding overtime expenses.
• Able to occasionally travel for the day or overnight to our service locations if needed. About 5% depending on needs.
• Able to respond to emergencies; will have "On-Call" responsibilities to respond immediately.
• Must have flexibility to conduct supervisory visits during various shifts - no overnights.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Legal age and legally able to work in the U.S. We use E-Verify.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Must be able to pass a background screen.
• Must be able to meet job requirements and responsibilities.
• Speak conversational (professional/business) English and Spanish.
• Must know basic MS Office (Outlook, Word and Excel).
Experience and Qualifications Required:
• Previous supervisory or management experience; in contract services or facilities maintenance is preferred.
• Reliability, responsibility and self-driven motivation is required.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills to manage a diverse team effectively.
• Excellent written, spoken and reading skills in English and Spanish.
• Motivated, disciplined, proactive, and results focused is needed.
• Positive, talented and creative is a plus. Should be solutions focused.
• Experience in commercial cleaning environments is preferred; residential experience is a plus.
• Previous porter experience is beneficial for understanding site-specific needs.
Salary and Benefits:
