Position Summary:
The Tax Analyst will be responsible for managing and preparing a large volume of personal and corporate tax returns. This is a demanding role that requires deep technical knowledge, outstanding organizational skills, and a strong sense of responsibility. In addition to tax preparation, this individual will oversee payroll processing, monthly and quarterly sales tax filings, supporting basic accounting tasks in QuickBooks, and any ad hoc request from management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and file personal and corporate federal and state tax returns in an accurate and timely manner
• Process payroll for multiple clients
• Filing and remitting Sales and Use Tax
• Ensure all tax documents are compliant with current tax laws and regulations
• Collaborate with accounting staff to reconcile accounts and ensure financial data accuracy
• Maintain client files and ensure confidentiality of sensitive financial information
• Manage deadlines efficiently and prioritize a high volume of work during tax season
Required Qualifications:
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) – Required
• Highschool Diploma
• Minimum 3 years of experience in tax preparation (personal and corporate)
• Proficiency with tax preparation software and QuickBooks (Online and Desktop)
• Experience processing payroll and Sales and Use Tax filings
• Strong understanding of U.S. tax codes and regulations
• High attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with foreign corporate tax preparation
• Accounting background and the ability to assist in general bookkeeping
• Knowledge of multi-state tax filings
• Prior experience working in a fast-paced accounting or tax office environment
Pay & Benefits:
• $50K - $55K
• 2 bonuses per year
• Up to 15 days PTO per year
