About All Metal Finishes
All Metal Finishes is a growing specialty contractor with a strong reputation in the architectural metal and glazing industry. We specialize in the field refinishing of architectural metals, windows, doors, railings, storefronts, curtain walls, aluminum facades, and other exterior building components.
Our work involves spray-applied, high-performance coating systems, including urethanes, acrylics, fluoropolymer coatings, and Kynar-based finishes. We work with both solvent-based and water-based coating systems on high-end residential, commercial, hospitality, and institutional properties throughout South Florida.
We are seeking a dependable, motivated, and professional Working Foreman who can lead projects from start to finish while also working alongside the crew.
Position Overview
The Working Foreman will serve as the boots-on-the-ground supervisor responsible for directing daily field operations, leading a crew of approximately three employees, and occasionally coordinating work between two crews or project locations.
This is not an office management position. The selected candidate must be willing to work alongside the crew throughout the day and project duration, assist with preparation and production, solve problems in the field, and take ownership of the project’s success.
The Working Foreman will be responsible for keeping projects safe, organized, clean, efficient, profitable, and on schedule while maintaining clear communication with our office, customers, vendors, property representatives, and other trades.
Primary Responsibilities
Lead assigned projects from mobilization through final completion/punch-out.
Direct and supervise a crew of approximately three employees.
Occasionally coordinate labor, materials, and priorities between two crews.
Establish daily work plans, production goals, and crew assignments.
Work alongside the crew during masking, surface preparation, protection, finishing, cleanup, and other production activities.
Ensure projects remain on schedule, within scope, and as profitable as reasonably possible.
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite.
Communicate daily progress, delays, material needs, labor hours, change-orders, and field conditions to the office.
Review project documents, photos, scopes of work, drawings, specifications, emails, and field instructions.
Track employee hours, material usage, equipment, supplies, and inventory.
Coordinate with customers, vendors, general contractors, property managers, residents, and other trades.
Identify potential problems early and communicate them before they affect the project.
Enforce company procedures, project requirements, safety rules, and quality-control standards.
Complete daily documentation, reports, photographs, and other required project records.
Conduct final inspections, identify punch-list items, and ensure work is completed to company standards.
Maintain and protect company tools, vehicles, equipment, and materials.
Represent the company professionally on high-end residential and commercial properties.
Assist with employee training and help develop less-experienced crew members.
Required Experience and Skills
Candidates must have prior experience in construction, building restoration, or a related field. Relevant backgrounds may include:
Commercial or industrial painting
Automotive bodywork or refinishing
Waterproofing
Concrete restoration
Metal fabrication or metal finishing
Window, door, storefront, or glazing work
Exterior building restoration
Construction supervision
Crew leadership, project management, or foreman experience
The ideal candidate will have both hands-on trade experience and previous leadership or management experience.
Candidates must also have:
A valid driver’s license and a safe driving history.
A Vehicle
Fluent English communication skills.
The ability to work 40+ hours per week.
The ability to travel throughout South Florida.
Willingness to participate in approximately three or more out-of-town projects per year.
Experience driving work vehicles and operating construction equipment.
Experience with or a practical understanding of scissor lifts, articulating lifts, and boom lifts.
Experience with ladders and scaffolding
A basic understanding of jobsite safety and fall-protection requirements.
Experience with masking and protecting surrounding surfaces using paper, tape, plastic, masking film, and related materials.
An understanding of preventing overspray, dust, debris, and coating contamination.
Basic knowledge of metal surface preparation, including sanding, grinding, cleaning, solvent wiping, and preparing aluminum and steel.
Basic knowledge of paint and coating application requirements.
The ability to monitor workmanship and maintain quality-control standards.
The ability to communicate professionally with customers, vendors, property representatives, and office personnel.
The ability to write clear emails, review documents, complete forms, and maintain accurate records.
Basic proficiency with Microsoft OneDrive, email platforms, digital documents, and electronic forms.
The ability to track labor hours, materials, inventory, equipment, and production progress.
The physical ability and willingness to perform hands-on construction work, work from lifts, climb ladders, lift materials, and work outdoors.
A college degree is not required.
Preferred Qualifications
The following qualifications are helpful but not required:
Previous experience as a working foreman, crew leader, superintendent, supervisor, or project manager.
Experience with architectural metal refinishing or specialty coatings.
Spray-painting experience using HVLP, airless, air-assisted, or electrostatic equipment.
Experience with urethane, acrylic, epoxy, DTM, or fluoropolymer coating systems.
OSHA 10-hour or OSHA 30-hour certification.
Aerial lift, fall-protection, respirator, paint, coating, or metal-finishing certifications.
Bilingual ability in Spanish or Haitian Creole.
Experience working on luxury residential, commercial, hospitality, or occupied properties.
Familiarity with reading construction drawings, scopes, specifications, and project schedules.
Spray-equipment experience is considered a significant plus, but the Working Foreman will not necessarily be required to serve as the primary spray applicator.
Project Environment
Our projects are located throughout South Florida and range significantly in size and duration. Some projects may be completed in one day, while our average project(s) last one to two weeks and some may last more than a month.
Much of our work is performed on high-end luxury residential and commercial properties. The Working Foreman must understand the level of care, cleanliness, communication, discretion, and professionalism required when working around finished surfaces, occupied buildings, residents, customers, and other trades.
Work involves outdoor conditions, elevated work platforms, changing weather, active construction sites, and occupied properties. Safety, cleanliness, surface protection, and respectful conduct are essential at all times.

We are not simply looking for someone who can perform construction work. We are looking for a leader who can take ownership of a project, motivate a crew, communicate effectively, and ensure the work is completed safely, cleanly, professionally, and efficiently.
Compensation and Growth
Starting compensation is $25.00 per hour, paid bi-weekly. Compensation may increase over time based on demonstrated leadership, reliability, technical development, project performance, communication, safety, quality, and the ability to take on greater responsibility.
