These are $45 to $50 delivered when on Ebay and you CAN NOT get them in stores anymore. This set was made unchanged from the late 1970s through about 2000. If you want to get started with model rocketry, or just want a cool gift for the older kids that all their friends wont have, this is WAY BETTER than buying them another video game. This will get them outdoors, get them thinking, planning and the launch is always exciting.
This set uses a FILM camera! many kids have never seen film. But you need to get it developed which is another adventure if you or your kid are into photography. (or have a darkroom or access to one) For those of you who dont remember before the digital everything age, the photos will not be Hi Def or what your IPhone takes. There is a sample photo on the package and the instructions go over that. The coolness comes from taking a photo of YOUR yard or house from a rocket powered camera and recovering it. I also have several drones, many new in the box, if you want to get that type of present.
You can buy more rocket motors and all supplies or other models to build. This can start a rocketry hobby
