Perfectly Mint Condition and sounds amazing!
This little lightweight and super portable speaker is incredible and has many uses. It feature easy access conventional speaker connection terminals, as well as a more modern Locking Speakon input jack located just below the speaker terminals, for even more convenience. You can see the Locking Speakon input Jackplate in the last photo if you look very closely. It's about two or three inches below the silver and black circular Bose speaker terminal connector plate on the rear of the cabinet.
This is a Vintage Bose 802W Series II CUSTOMIZED speaker cabinet with its original 8 onboard specially designed full range 5" Bose speakers. This cabinet does not require the Bose Processor that is mentioned on the back input panel. However, you can certainly use any graphic, parametric, digital, analog EQ if desired, with no problem, at all. This little speak will take anything you can throw at it and it kicks some serious butt.
It is very versatile and can used for a lightweight portable keyboard rig, a Guitar speaker cabinet with Tube or solid state amp or modeler driving it, acoustic guitar singer/songwriter rig for coffee house type portable PA sound system, stage monitor, and just about any other application you can think of.
It is currently stored in a small music room in my home and being occasionally used as a convenient bass guitar speaker cab with a power amp and bass preamp. It sounds amazing for the current application it is set up for. Don't let its size fool you. It's a very small lightweight portable cabinet but it delivers the goods. I was planning to use it as a High/Mid range cabinet in a stereo bass rig just before the pandemic shut everything down. Unfortunately, it never saw any action, other than being used for the application I mentioned above in my home.
You will notice that the cabinet is fully customized with a heavy duty out protective professionally coated LINEX (Heavy duty truck bed liner type coating). You seriously cannot scratch this cabinet. The company that did the coating for me did an amazing job. When it was finished, the tech took a huge flathead screwdriver and raked it across the top of the cabinet. It freaked me out because I had just paid him $125.00 for the coating job. He smiled and told me to find one scratch. Needless to say, the cab was unscathed. I think this thing is most likely Nuke proof. Not only that, it's beautiful, as well. The cabinet literally looks Brand New. It has never been out of my home, other to have it coated. This little cabinet is just KILLER, to say the least. If it were not for the fact that I am moving out of the country I would not even consider selling this awesome little beast.
