This is a 1998 Martin D-18VM. It has had custom work done by Dan Lashbrook, a well known luthier in North Carolina. He removed the popsicle brace, shortened the neck block under the fingerboard, shortened the truss rod, new bridge plate, bone saddle and nut, new jumbo frets, had the crack in the top sealed, and has been made to model a 1930's D-18. The truss rod access point has been plugged. The finish on the top is no longer as glossy as the back and sides. I'm not sure if it was totally stripped.

I can't guarantee that's the extent of the work that's been done. I'm relying on previous owner descriptions and what I can see with my untrained eye.
