condition: like new
make / manufacturer: Jay haide
The top of this viola is made from two pieces of quarter sawn, book matched spruce. The width of the annual grain lines are very narrow across the entirety of the top. The back is made from two pieces of quarter sawn, book matched maple.

The flames are quite pronounced and are of a medium width. They travel at an upward trajectory from the center joint of the back, and are very uniform.
The ribs of this viola are made from a different maple than that of the back. They display a much more wide and soft flame pattern that is less uniform. The scroll as well is made from a different maple. This one with a bit more narrow and less pronounced flame pattern. The varnish of this viola is the standard "Jay Hayde" reddish hue, with full antiquing. The instrument has been antiqued upon construction, and the varnish itself retains a perfect condition.

The dimensions are as follows:

Length of Back - 422 mm
Upper Bout Width - 195 mm
Center Bout Width - 131.5 mm
Lower Bout Width - 248 mm

NOTE: ***ONLY CASH! AND it doesn’t include a bow.
