Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. You will transport various goods and materials from the FedEx Ground Facility to its final delivery point. You will plan the most efficient route, ensure adherence to delivery schedules, and perform routine vehicle inspections, The ideal candidate must have experience driving trucks and safety is a priority.
Responsibilities:
Deliver packages to residential and business areas.
Perform routine safety inspections of the trucks.
Plan the safest and most efficient routes of travel
Adhere to delivery and pickup schedules
Comply with all company policies and DOT regulations
Adhere to the Company Safety program
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Truck Driver is preferred
Valid Driver Licence
Familiarity with GPS systems or Routing Apps
Understanding of all relevant truck driving laws and regulations
Clean driving record
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Safely and efficiently operate a variety of vehicles including box trucks, vans- Load and unload goods and materials using forklifts or other equipment as needed- Drive to designated locations to deliver products or packages in a timely manner- Follow delivery schedules and routes to ensure on-time deliveries- Provide excellent customer service by interacting with customers in a professional and friendly manner- Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks such as checking oil levels, tire pressure, and fuel levels
Knowledge of local roads and routes for efficient navigation
Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks such as loading and unloading goods
Excellent time management skills to meet delivery schedules
