We are seeking an experienced Server / Busser / Food Runner to join our team at an ethnic/Indian restaurant. The ideal candidate is attentive, efficient, and knowledgeable about Indian cuisine, capable of delivering excellent guest service while supporting both front-of-house operations and kitchen flow.
Responsibilities:
• Provide friendly, attentive, and efficient table service
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and deliver them promptly
• Explain menu items, ingredients, spice levels, and dietary options to guests
• Run food from the kitchen to tables quickly and accurately
• Ensure correct presentation and proper table setup before food delivery
• Clear, clean, and reset tables efficiently
• Assist with water service, refills, and guest needs
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service
• Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, service stations, and server areas
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
• Support team members during peak service hours
Requirements:
• Previous restaurant serving experience required
• Experience in an ethnic or Indian restaurant strongly preferred
• Ability to confidently describe Indian dishes and spice levels
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Must speak and understand English
