Rootz Bar N Café is hiring **two full-time positions** to join our growing team in **Tamarac, FL**. We’re a Caribbean-inspired restaurant known for bold flavors, consistency, and a positive, team-focused environment.
We’re looking for dependable, hardworking individuals who take pride in their role and are eager to contribute to both kitchen and guest experience excellence.
Position 1: Sous Chef / Line Cook (Back of House)
Responsibilities
* Prepare and execute menu items consistently and to standard
* Lead prep and service flow to support smooth kitchen operations
* Maintain food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation standards
* Support kitchen organization, efficiency, and inventory
* Assist with daily specials and menu development
* Work closely with front-end staff to ensure timely, accurate service
Qualifications
* Experience as a Sous Chef, Lead Cook, or strong Line Cook
* Caribbean or fusion cuisine experience is a plus
* Organized, punctual, and professional
* Able to work well in a fast-paced kitchen
* Strong work ethic and team-first attitude
Position 2: Front-End / Server Support (Front of House)
Responsibilities
* Greet and assist guests with a friendly, professional attitude
* Take orders accurately and provide menu guidance
* Support dine-in and takeout service flow
* Maintain a clean and organized front-end area
* Help build loyal, repeat customers through great service
* Communicate effectively with the kitchen team
Qualifications
* Prior experience in the food service industry preferred
* Organized, reliable, and customer-focused
* Eager to learn and grow with the restaurant
* Able to work efficiently during busy shifts
* Positive attitude and strong communication skills
Compensation & Schedule
* $14–$22 per hour**, based on experience and role
