Priced LESS than just one teapot delivered on Ebay!
These 2 mugs/teapots/jugs are just as they were originally sold. There is NO damage or wear. I went all around the edges and even the bottom and I found a rough feeling spot on a rim but it is an imperfection from firing. You will not see it as I was dragging cotton around it to find cracks and thats how I found it.
These are not as common as you would think, with only a handful listed at any time. Technically, they are all unique, as they are hand painted. There is quite a bit of small detail differences as I found one design listed ($30) the same as one of these and the paint designs differ. Even the colors can differ as I imagine there were more than 1 worker who painted these. These are actually a teapot and not only is there a spout and a handle (like the song) but the lid locks on top with a bottom rim that goes under one in the base. There is also a steam escape hole in each lid. Why they are called Toby teapots I do not know, but the maker is Shafford and there are 100s of finer tea sets made by Shafford on Ebay. Displaying just 1 is not enough so at least a pair is better like this. Save a lot of shipping money buying 2 together.
These are the LARGER ones as they make a smaller series thats 3 and 4 inches tall. These are around 5 to 6 inches tall and hold 2 regular sized cups of tea in each.
