RIBBONS CHEAP/COMMON
GREAT GIFT!! SUPER COOL
An outstanding example of American machinery. *** The only flaw is the plastic handle separated on one side. It actually still holds but I list any flaw*** Made and sold in 1961 by the serial number and the original buyer put the year inside the case. Types in red or black with regular ribbons but you can get every color. Ribbons last for years with normal use but are less than $5 online.
Who needs/wants a typewriter?
Many writers prefer the "direct to paper" process of a typewriter that has no editing or memory.
If you have forms to fill out with blanks in sentences or areas that need to fill in, you can't do that with a printer.
Kids are fascinated by these and knowing that their fingers power the machine. No battery, plug, or display screen.
Security! You can not hack a typewriter. You can't stick a tiny keystroke recorder on or some app to read your email or letters or legal docs (divorce cases). Type a letter and drop it into a US mailbox for top Security.
