More and more I find myself lost in my own company. Spending uneventful evenings entertaining my otherwise preoccupied mind with reruns of Family Guy and That 70s show, I rarely but occasionally leave the safety of my apartment to mingle with other members of the homo sapien species. When I do, I¡¦m both pleased and disturbed by the male/female interaction; you have the men who try too hard, flexing their barely-there biceps, and you have women who try even harder, weighing their faces down with pounds upon pounds of makeup caked so thick it resembles a sickening layer of frosting. Where do I fit in, in this mass of sexually-inclined, alcohol-induced crowd?
For a while I wallowed in depression, seeking friendship in high and low places, hoping to fill some sort of an empty void that seemed desperate to swallow me whole. In the end, I learned to be what a lot of people have yet to be successful at...alone! I discovered that youll never be happy in a friendship, or in a relationship for that matter, until you can be absolutely and totally alone, and still be perfectly content with your own company before anyone else can. Of all the lessons my strict parents could have taught me, that was the biggest lesson Ive ever learned, and it was a lesson that I taught myself.
...and thats that! Lol no Im not high but those are the things I think of now and then. I'm a thinker by nature so I come up with some pretty weird stuff. Like I was thinking...how can anyone on earth be so arrogant as to think that aliens don't exist? Are you kidding me? Somewhere in some far away galaxy, there's an alien species watching us and laughing away at our stupidity and ignorance as far as technology, and here we are thinking we're super big shit because we can clone sheep. Go figure.
Anyway, Im not nearly as dark and depressed as the brief peak into my mind may let on. Quite the contrary, Im actually pretty bubbly and perky, and I love to smile. Can you make me smile?

I am a dancer. Professional Modern Contemporary Dancer. I love to dance; it’s what I do that makes me stay alive and makes me able to express myself day after day.
