Working as an independent contractor, taxi driver, means you are your own boss and can decide when you want to work. We have almost 30 years of experience in this industry and if you decide to lease under contract with us, we will provide you the tools to help you develop a great business. Green Cab operates an all Towncar Taxicab fleet in Delray Beach and the surrounding areas. All of our taxi cabs are GPS Computerized Dispatched, accept credit cards and are maintained by Green Cab Co.
As a taxi cab operator under lease with Green Cab you will be part of the new standard in Taxi Service. Our lease holders will be provided the tools necessary to be get the job done. You as a lease holder will provide the excellent customer service with a smile while always maintaining the NEAT, CLEAN, POLITE attitude and image.
Our marketing (including yellow pages) and dispatching systems is second to none.
To be eligible to operate a TAXI as an INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR you must:
• Be 21 years of age or older.
• Have a valid Florida driver’s license.
• Have lived in the Palm Beach area for at least 1 year.
• Have held a United States (U.S.) driver’s license for more than 3 years.
• Have no more than 3 points in the past 12 months on your motor vehicle record:
• Have NOT been convicted of a felony within 7 years (Including pleading no contest).
• Have not been arrested or charged with a DUI or reckless driving in the past 10 years (even if it’s within the point system listed above).
• Be able to effectively communicate in the English language.

When can I contract services to begin operating a Taxi with Green Cab?
Upon completion of lease agreement, background check and Green Cab University (the introduction program), you may be able to lease a vehicle or lease services on a monthly basis. Green Cab does not offer day leases.
Can I drive a taxi cab without a Palm Beach County Hack License?
No all for hire work in Palm Beach County requires a hack license.
How should I dress as a taxi driver?
You are a representative of your own business; remember that First Impressions are important. Always remember to be well groomed and dressed in clean neatly pressed clothing. Show a welcoming smile. As a hack license driver, you MUST adhere to the dress code regulations of Palm Beach County.
