The YMCA of Greater Miami - Homestead Family Branch is hiring a Preschool Director to manage the day to day operations of its licensed preschool site. The individual in this position will plan, direct, implement and evaluate the program to ensure it meets developmental appropriate practices of the children, ages one to five years of age, and supports the mission, values and goals of the YMCA of Greater Miami.
Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities required:
•Associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education and / or related field; a minimum of three years experience as an on-site child care director** in a licensed child care facility.
•Florida Department of Education / Early Childhood Professional Certificate or National Child Development Associate Credential.
•Florida Director Credentials.
•VPK endorsement or Exemption.
•Creative Curriculum training.
•Knowledge of the accreditation process.
•Bilingual, English and Spanish.
•Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
•Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to interact with individuals at all levels.
•Experience working with a diverse community, a plus.
•Infant / Toddler First Aid & CPR certificate must be acquired within 90 days of employment.
•Proficient with Microsoft word and Excel
