Our growing marketing department has an immediate need for a Graphic Web Designer with GREAT IDEAS and Design Skills, Coupled with Consumer brand market awareness. Responsibilities will include designing exciting website gadgets, trendy/fashion artwork for printed apparel, and compelling marketing materials. We are looking for a talented and motivated individual who will demonstrate a high-level of initiative and creativity – experience in social media (blogs, twitter, facebook, etc) a big plus.
Specific Skills:
1. Proven experience in web graphics development providing dynamic art for Flash and Action Script or alternatives like Silverlight
2. Expert in specialized editing of photo-realistic images using Adobe Photoshop CS4 and artist-created illustrations, using Adobe Fireworks.
3. Skilled and fast with raster graphics editors that paint and edit pictures interactively on the computer screen
4. Expert understanding of all popular image formats from “bitmap” or “raster” formats such as JPEG, PNG, GIF and TIFF to "vector" formats such as SWF.
5. Capabilities must complement each other for picture perfect web color matching with designs for garments, models and clothing.
6. Experience with Flash related graphic design, Web-2 page layout, typography, logos, sharp-edged artistic illustrations including cartoons, clip art, complex geometric patterns and visualizations, technical illustrations, diagramming and flowcharting.
7. Skilled in retouching, photo processing, photorealistic illustrations, collage, and hand drawn illustrations using a pen tablet.
8. Knowledge of all state of the art tools beyond Photoshop including contemporary illustrators like Corel Photo-Paint, Expression Web, GIMP and including video and media tool kits to make all kinds of web driven illustrations.
9. Capability to work as a significant contributor in a fast moving team that demands fast and accurate work and to lead and inspire others through high quality, highly original output.
10. Multiple years of experience in web markets with a willingness to work hard to win business.
11. Combined Technical and Marketing experience is an added asset.
