The Chef Instructor will be responsible for the educational training and evaluation of students. He or She will be responsible for maintaining the sanitation, food quality, control of food cost. The Chef Instructor will serve as a role model inspiring and leading the student body.
Responsibilities:
Providing hands on classroom instruction
Maintaining the work place in a professional and sanitary manner, meeting the standards set within the Serve-Safe guidelines.
Prepare, maintain and update course syllabi; assist in the development of new curricula.
Prepare and utilize approved lesson plans.
Maintain control and discipline in the Lab kitchen and classroom
Evaluate student performance on a daily basis and conduct formal student evaluations
Be evolved with professional
All other duties as assigned by the Academic Director.
Qualifications (Education and Experience)
2-3 years industry experience minimum
Teaching experience preferable
Degree in Culinary Arts or Food Service Management
