Leave the adjectives and expensive words at home. Eschew obfuscation!

This begins as a freelance role, but it is expected to become a full-time position once the value and "fit" are proven. Adaptability, additional qualifications, and overall productivity as part of a marketing team will go far. The team is happy, eclectic, sometimes maddening, but very good at what it does and looking to get better with the addition of this person. 2010 is shaping up to be a great year. Get on board.

This is not, however, an agency. It's a corporate marketing department. We have to play by a few rules that we don't love, but that's life, ain't it?

Compensation has not been determined yet. This is a new concept for us - let's discuss it. We can say it is a junior or associate level position. Do tell us what you think is appropriate.

A few relevant points:

- This is about writing copy in English. This being Miami, fluency in Spanish is a bonus, but the candidate who is excellent in English and knows no other language will beat the one who is pretty good in several. If you're truly excellent in several, though, well...that's talent.

- Computer skills are important. The obvious: excellent typing and word processing skills. A little less obvious: Email software, Adobe InDesign, Acrobat, data management skills, Powerpoint, Dreamweaver, basic knowledge of HTML. Bonus skills: Vocus, good layout skills, the ability to sit down and quickly learn just about any software.

- It is very important to have good organizational skills and the ability to work under the pressure of competing projects and deadlines.

- Use "loose" when you mean "lose" and you're out. Ditto for their/there/they're, it's/its, and any of the other wonderful irregularities of the English language. The use of apostrophe's in plural's is the greatest sin imaginable. If you don't know what I'm talking about, this is definitely not the job for you.

REQUIREMENTS of CANDIDATES:
- Must be over 18yrs old
- Studying business, entrepreneurship, marketing, graphic design or another relevant field
- Have their own laptop and cell phone
- Ambitious, driven and a self-starter
- Looking to build up their resume for a career in the marketing or advertising field

COMPENSATION:
- Varies from project to project. Pay for each project will be discussed and agreed upon between you and I prior to work beginning and may include conclusion bonus, $7-10 per hour. All approved expenses for each project will be reimbursed.

JOB RESPONSIBILITES:
- Flexible hours, work usually conducted on your own time
- Initial research and assisting with coordination of new projects and all my business services
- Assist with new client acquisition of my services through networking and online marketing

My business focuses on 2 areas:
1. RESTAURANTS, LOUNGES, BARS, NIGHT CLUBS and HOTELS: When business is not doing as well as expected I am hired and offer the following services:
a. Competitive analysis: review of direct competitors
b. Financial review: understand the current financial situation, sales, breakeven point, inventory loss and expense summary
c. Process: identify weaknesses in current processes in personnel, ordering, work flow, marketing and operations and provide solutions
d. Marketing and promotions: understand the current marketing strategy and provide an improvement plan. Monitor success through sales analysis
e. Interior decorating: Combine the right lighting, flooring, d�cor, seating to establish the desired atmosphere for the venue

2. CONSUMER PACKAGING: Work with companies to design and produce the packaging for new product launches or re-launch of current lines. All industries and clients include Disney, Nike, Gillette and smaller start ups.
a. Work with clients to establish timelines, budgets and design needs
b. Manage projects from initial brief through to delivery
c. Process client brief with designers and manage studio deliverables
d. Quote with vendors for production and printing
