The Electric Bicycle Store is a unique 2,500 square foot retail store in Fort Lauderdale specializing in the sales and rentals of green-friendly light electric vehicles.
We are just days away from opening our 2nd store in Miami Beach and currently have openings for a few outstanding individuals to fill retail, rental, repair and customer service positions in both locations.
Generally our customers are already cyclists and are also environmentally impassioned or gadget geared or both, so we are looking to fill positions with similarly green-minded, eco-concerned or technology-friendly people our customer’s can relate to and with whom they can feel "plugged-in."
If you think you could be our ideal candidate, then:
- You are excited about electric bicycles and can effectively spread that enthusiasm to people who walk through our doors; AND...
- You can talk cycling, batteries and motors and don't mind changing a tire, reading a product manual or figuring out a wiring issue or a squeak; AND...
- You know instinctively that a bicycle is lonely without accessories and are happy to suggest a horn, light kit, or basket; AND...
- You are familiar with Craigslist, Microsoft Office and maybe even Point of Sale software. Knowledge of web design, SEO and Web 2.0 social networking (Twitter,
Facebook or Blogging) is a definite plus, will improve the bottom line and thus your salary.
This is a real opportunity to grow with a small company that's taking big steps in the new and lucrative eco-products marketplace. If you have an interest in taking on responsibility for growth and being rewarded for it, today’s applicant can be tomorrow's department head.
The position begins at an hourly rate, but only until a good fit is established, then becomes salaried with incentives. Applicants will not be afraid of a background check and won't mind being called upon to lift 80lbs of bicycle on occasion.
