The Visual Merchandiser will be responsible for implementing all in-store floor, shelf and window displays. We are looking for someone who is creative and has technical design skill to set up displays so that they effectively catch the eye of our customers and maximize the space in each store.
Responsibilities:
Effectively complete all assigned merchandising tasks and activities in the assigned territory
Creates and ensures that a particular image or theme is promoted in each store, designs are distributed to individual stores in a timely fashion
Ensures that all visual displays are set to Pet Supermarket standard
Ensures all products are represented and displayed in the selling floor
Maintains current knowledge of all products and supplies sold at Pet Supermarket
Designs displays to increase customer traffic in the store
Coordinates with corporate office and other design teams to ensure consistency with corporate image
Communicates effectively with the Visual Merchandising Director, store management and associates
Timely and accurately completes and submits necessary call reports, expense reports and project materials on time
Requirements:
1-3 years experience in retail merchandising, preferably pet experience
Associate Degree preferred with a focus on visual or graphic design
Flexible work schedule to include weekends and work evenings
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle to travel between stores and transport products to stores
Ability to lift boxes and other supplies up to 40lbs
