FACILITIES MAINTENANCE & MECHANIC
SUMMARY
Responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of facility machinery & equipment.
SynergyLabs is a vertically integrated global manufacturing company based in Fort Lauderdale that deals with hundreds of globally sourced raw materials, packaging components and equipment on a daily basis. With over 700+ SKU’s in production, the facilities maintainer & mechanic must be able to handle numerous minor to major situations with detailed accuracy.
Our company is seeking a full-time Facilities Maintenance Associate & Mechanic to work in our Port Everglades office headquarters. The candidate will be responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of the company’s set-up, maintenance & repair requirements for the manufacturing warehouse, including all machinery and equipment. The employee will work closely with the Operations Manager for managing the fluidity of work-flow, maintenance & repair and keeping a clean and safe environment for all employees. We are seeking an individual who is looking for an excellent opportunity and advancement in a growing industry. The successful candidate will have a strong mechanical background, as well as being highly motivated, organized, and ready to implement changes in the company.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Install facility machinery.
2. Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on facility machinery.
3. Troubleshoot and repair facility machinery.
4. Write and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
5. Complete daily maintenance and repair logs.
6. Communicate with operators from other shifts.
7. Maintain and secure work tools.
8. Clean and maintain work area.
9. Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
10. Other duties as assigned.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Perform back-up for assembly line.
2. Perform back-up for warehouse.
3. Provide on-the-job training to new employees.
4. Order tools and machinery inventory parts.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
1. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
2. Advanced skills required in one or more of the following areas: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic systems, plumbing, carpentry, piping systems, and PLC programming.
3. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
4. Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.
5. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds required.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves frequent lifting of materials up to 50 pounds. Machinery and tool operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and hardhats. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.
