Access Confidential is a research company developed to support the ‘vital’ new business department in any communications company (advertising, PR, design, interactive). And we’re a team of “little detectives” diligently working to contribute to the betterment of prospecting process for new business executives. We constantly search and strive to get more data in order to make the day-in-the life of a new business executive more effective and efficient.
The researcher’s perspective allows for an in-depth study of the overall advertising industry. The researcher will become familiar with a multitude of communications companies, as well as corporations including Fortune 500s, 1000s, Fortune Small Business 100s, and TED companies.
We are seeking applicants for Research Associate (or “Little Detective”) positions.
Overall Responsibilities:
- Maintaining Access Confidential’s proprietary database with updated information by researching daily press, advertising trade publications, and other online databases, as well as calling companies directly to confirm or update database information.
Key areas of responsibility:
- Conducting phone research (confirming data) with the purpose of gathering, updating, and verifying key company contact and logistical information.
- Conducting internet research including company websites, trade publications, online newspapers and subscription-based resources with the purposed of verifying company information and statistics.
- Perform database entry in a proprietary database which involves researching, editing and verifying information for accuracy before entering into proper fields, while adhering to established format guidelines.
- Key data into field using proper format.
- Verify entries for accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct email correspondence (“bounce tests”) as a supplement to phone calling in order to verify accuracy of email addresses.
Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Computer Competency: Windows/PC including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Web Research: Ability to investigate multiple online data resources.
- Fluent in English: strong oral communication skills and ability to write for publication.
- Ability to adjust to rapidly changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of routine office practices and procedures.
- Ability to read and decipher data on source documents to be entered; strong logic and reasoning skills.
- Ability to enter and verify information with accuracy and a reasonable rate of speed.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Skill in data entry.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
