Candidate will be responsible for setting and scheduling hearings, motions, depositions, sending out subpoenas and scheduling mediations and other litigation related functions. Candidate will be responsible for getting attorneys ready for hearings and depositions. Candidate will be liason with litigation clients. Candidate will be expected to assist attorney on all litigation and potentially some pre-litigation tasks. This is a litigation assistant position, NOT a paralegal position.

The law firm is AV rated and Mr. Cytryn has been board certified for many years. We are a law firm with a dozen employees located in a very nice six story office building on the 4th floor at the intersection of University Drive and Shadowood Blvd. in Coral Springs, just north of the Coral Springs mall. Salary is dependent upon experience. We offer health insurance (Blue Cross Blue Shield, which is not an HMO), and we also offer a dental plan. We pay 75% of the health insurance and dental insurance cost for the employee, or 50% for the family. We have a 401k plan. We pay and give time off for 8 holidays. We offer paid vacation and sick/personal days.
Paid vacation accrues as follows.
1 week accrues during during first year
2 weeks per year accrue til six years.
3 weeks accrue starting in sixth year
4 weeks accrue starting in 11th year
5 weeks accrue after 20 full years.
We give 3 days sick or personal paid after 90 days. Vacation and sick and personal leave that is unused is not lost, it accrues.
If a person requires more time off than accrued, the time off may be given, though unpaid.
We give a year end monetary bonus, usually 1 week salary after one full year, two week's salary after two years for excellent performance.

We are not affected by the economy, good or bad, people get into accidents.
Requirements
Candidate must type 50 words per minute and be friendly, diligent, detail-oriented, intelligent, and have perseverance. Bilingual (Spanish - fluent) . Working knowledge of Microsoft Word required. Medical terminology or experience helpful, but not required. Hours of employment 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., one hour lunch. We prefer applicants living in central, north and northwest Broward, and not from south Broward because of the driving distance and will not respond to applicants who are not within a 20 minute drive. We are a non smoking office, and only hire non-smokers.
Candidate should be personable talented intelligent individual who gets along with people. No experience necessary. We are not emphasizing past experience as much as intelligence and ability to learn. We highly prefer someone who is familiar with setting hearings and depositions in Broward County, although personal injury experience per se is not required.
Candidate must be a team player, get along well with others, be willing to learn and be willing to assist in any aspect of the law practice.
