Position: Inventory Control Associate
Reports To: Inventory Control Supervisor
Responsibilities:
• Receive, audit, test, pack, and ship computers and related equipment as notified by the location’s Inventory Control Supervisor. Training will be provided on how to carry out all of these responsibilities.
o Receive: Unload deliveries as they occur and work in a professional manner with outside logistics personnel.
o Audit: Perform quality audits on computers and related equipment and enter the results accurately into the company’s inventory system.
o Test: Enter BIOS on computers, pull configurations, and more detailed testing as required.
o Pack: After testing, “pack and stack” equipment per company guidelines based on the specific product set.
o Ship: Assist in the scheduling of inbound and outbound shipments for domestic and international suppliers and customers.
• Testing levels depend on the business process that the specific piece of equipment is put through (Retail, Wholesale, Export, etc).
• When possible, perform minor repair work to computer casing if damage is present.
• Perform installation work of components into computer equipment, such as hard drives, memory, etc.
• Participate in the constant improvement of current inventory control processes.
• Other tasks as required.
This person will frequently be required to lift or move heavy objects such as computer equipment, pallets, and more.
This is a full time position.
Compensation: $9-12/hr DOE, Medical after 90 Days
Requirements: The ability to fulfill the above referenced responsibilities, and to help the company improve as a whole. A relative understanding of computers and related equipment is required. A working knowledge of using a Powered Industrial Truck (Forklift) is a plus, and the willingness to become OSHA certified if you do not presently hold a certification for operating such equipment.
